When Emmitt Smith became the brand embassador for Herradura Tequila, Herradura offered facebook fans a chance to go behind the scenes to get Emmitt’s take on life and tequila, and to see why Herradura and Emmitt Smith’s mutually uncompromising philosophy is a pathway to greatness.
Before the campaign’s launch, Herradura’s facebook fans could ask questions of Emmitt and have them
answered in video form. Fans could then share their personalized message from Emmitt with friends. The result was a lot of questions, a lot of videos, and a lot of people being exposed to Herradura Tequila for the first time.
Materials in stores and bars encourage consumers to text “EMMITT” from their mobile device to get the
exclusive trailer for the “Taste of Wisdom” video series with Emmitt Smith, and an invitation to discover more at the Herradura facebook page.
